Once AG sent me someone else's entire order, a Nellie, a today doll, a few outfits, other accessories, in addition to my own small order. Both boxes had my shipping info on them. I called to let them know what had happened. They couldn't figure it out- it must have been a UPS mistake. The CS person I got said she'd never known that to happen before. I figured it had probably happened, and the other people just kept it. I actually had to call them a week later to remind them to send me the UPS sticker to mail it back. It was over $250 worth of stuff- I thought maybe they'd send a little gift certificate my way for being honest, but I got nothing. Still I'm glad we returned it- it was the right thing to do, and a good lesson in doing what's right for my girls. Still- an outfit, or even a $10 thank you would have been nice. Oh well!

I usually get to keep the small items but the big ticketed items get a return label.

Yeah, my daughter got an AG Club wallet and the glass was scratched on the mirror, so they sent another one & we got to keep that one. Then I ordered the 'Day at American Girl Place Package' with the doll shirt and cd but the portfolio was all crumpled. They sent me another package (without the $ and dining coupons ofcourse) and let me keep the first one. They did say that I could always give these items to a charity. SOOooo, my daughter and I are going to make up a basket with these extra items and buy some more, to hold a fundraiser for her school.

When I got damaged or defective items, they usually asked me to donate to local charity and sent me another one. But again those are usually small items worth less than $20.

I'm about to return the first set of Elizabeth's bedding I received; it has a spot of dirt on one of the bed covers. No way was AG going to tell me to just keep that! The replacement has arrived already, as has the return label. I'm betting this set will be cleaned (I wasn't about to try doing that) and will show up in Madison next year.
